CUHK Organizes Pleasure in the Pandemic Joint Performance

The China Engagement Office (CEO) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has organized online show entitled Pleasure in the Pandemic Joint Performance with our mainland partners. The first show was held on 25 March 2022 [click here to view the show]. Over 700 participants viewed the show online. The event aims to establish a virtual platform during the pandemic committed to enriching the cultural life of the students by presenting a diverse range of student performances. Students from the two regions can support each other in adversity, maintaining physical and mental health, and to stay positive to respond to the challenges. It takes place on the last Friday of every month via online platform(s). Each show lasts about an hour. The following performing ensembles joined the first show (in alphabetical order):

  • Peking University (PKU) A Capella Student Club
  • Shanghai Jiao Tong University Students’ Choir
  • Chung Chi Choir & Chung Chi Orchestra The Chinese University of Hong Kong
  • The Chorus and The Orchestra of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen
  • Tsinghua University Symphony Orchestra
  • University of Chinese Academy of Sciences PhD Choir

CUHK has maintained close ties with universities in the Mainland and Taiwan. The University participated and co-organized joint cultural activities to forge exchanges between students across the straits, in order to broaden their horizons, discover their potentials and make the best use of their creativity.
