CUHK Holds Flag-raising Ceremony to Kick Off New Academic Year
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) held a flag-raising ceremony to mark the beginning of the new semester on 5 September, the first day of 2022/23 academic year at its new flagpoles.
CUHK was honored to welcome Secretary for Security Mr. Tang Ping-Keung; Secretary for Education Dr. Choi Yuk-Lin; Commissioner of Police Mr. Raymond Siu Chak-Yee; Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Joe Chow Yat-Ming; Professor Xu Kai, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Deng Jian-Wei, Bureau Chief, Office for Safeguarding National Security of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; and Mr. Wang Qi, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the HKSAR to the occasion, together with 200 guests including Council members, staff, students, alumni and friends of the University. CUHK Council Chairman Professor John Chai Yat-Chiu, and Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Rocky Tuan presided at the ceremony.
CUHK Released the Latest Issue of ‘Sustainable Development Matters’
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has released the latest issue of Sustainable Development Matters. This e-publication includes stories of the University’s effort to advance sustainable development and the University’s performance in achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Sustainable Development Matters is a multi-faceted platform, which encapsulates thoughtful and engaging features that highlight the efforts and achievements of the CUHK community in driving sustainability. CUHK Sets Up Booth in China International Fair for Trade in Services
Since this August, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has participated in China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) online to showcase our programmes and developments to visitors around the world. CIFTIS has become the global largest comprehensive fair for trade in services.
