Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance Working Group Meeting 2025
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance organized its annual working group meeting on 21 March at Sun Yat-sen University with nearly 100 representatives from 45 member universities.
During the meeting, participants for alliance affairs from member institutions engaged in group discussions regarding the future development plans of the Alliance and proposed activities for its tenth anniversary. The meeting aimed to gather unique characteristics of the Alliance, enhancing vitality and promoting diversified developments, to facilitate continuous collaborative and prosperous development of higher education among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
The Alliance aspires to gather elite universities in the region, to facilitate the nurturing of leaders, and to foster regional collaboration. CUHK is one of the initiating institutions and the Vice Chair of the Alliance Board.
Delegation of Shanghai-Hong Kong University Alliance Visits CUHK
A training class comprised of 30 delegates from Shanghai-Hong Kong University Alliance visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 9 April to exchange experience and enhance interflow on campus sustainability and international branding. The visit aimed to equip the delegates with valuable management insights and experiences.
During their visit, CUHK representatives from the Campus Development Office and the Office of Social Responsibility and Sustainability gave engaging presentations on CUHK’s approaches to sustainability and campus planning. They exchanged insights and shared experiences with alliance delegates.
Established in 2018, the Shanghai-Hong Kong University Alliance seeks to strengthen collaboration between universities in areas such as talent development, scientific research, and foster collaborative innovation.
