CUHK VC Speaks at THE In-Conversation
Professor Rocky S. Tuan, Vice-Chancellor and President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was invited to speak at the Times Higher Education (THE) In-Conversation series held on 22 March via online platforms. In the interview, Professor Tuan introduced the development history and unique characteristics of CUHK, with a global vision and a mission to combine tradition with modernity and to bring together China and the West in its education model. He also interacted with the participants, sharing how to attach importance to the inheritance of traditional values of Chinese culture, in creating a multicultural academic environment and advancing the development of education and research.
THE In-Conversation series with the World’s Famous Universities aims to provide a learning platform for university scholars. It is specially designed for universities in the Chinese Mainland to learn from the successful experience of world-class universities. This year’s Times Higher Education Asia University Summit will be held from 21 to 23 June in CUHK. The Summit will focus on discussion concerning the meaning and uniqueness of “Asian Universities”. The results of the THE Asian University Rankings and Asia Awards will also be released during the Summit.
