Lunch Gathering for Mainland Scholars and Students
The China Engagement Office (CEO) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) organized a lunch reception on 22 February for visiting scholars and visiting students of CUHK to celebrate the Chinese New Year together.
CUHK Professors attending the gathering included Professor Zuo Zhong Joan, Director of the School of Pharmacy; Professor Wang Jianfang, Chairman of the Department of Physics; Professor Zeng Tie-Yong, Professor of the Department of Mathematics; and Professor Ren Hong-Liang, Professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering. A total of 12 visiting scholars and visiting students joined the gathering. They are participating in various visiting programmes coordinated by CEO, including Mainland and Taiwan Visiting Scholar Programme, Hong Kong Scholars Programme, Mainland Postdoctoral Sponsorship Programme, and Mainland and Taiwan Visiting Student Programme.
Student Ambassador Briefing Session
The China Engagement Office (CEO) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) organized briefing sessions for student ambassadors on 17 February and 17 March respectively. A total of 39 students participated in the sessions. The briefing session is aimed to recruit enthusiastic students to receive training and understand the duty of student ambassadors. These ambassadors will represent CUHK to receive guests and delegations from Chinese Mainland and Taiwan institutions and organizations coming to visit CUHK, including introducing the CUHK campus and sharing with guests.
