CUHK Meets ZGC Youth Innovation Centre
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Zhongguancun Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation International Center (ZGC Youth Innovation Centre) had online meeting on 15 February to discuss collaboration opportunities. Representatives of CUHK included Professor Benny Zee, Director of Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services; Ms. Wing Wong, Director of China Engagement; and Mr. Michael Ma, President of CUHK Business School Beijing Alumni Association. Ms. Gao Hai-Ying, officer of International Cooperation Department from Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park joined the meeting. Representatives from Zhongguancun Qing Chuang (Beijing) International Technology Co., Ltd. included Mr. Zhang Kai, Deputy General Manager; Mr. Li Wei, Director of Market Incubation Department; Mr. Zhang Mo, Investment Director.
The two parties conducted a follow up face-to-face meeting on 10 March. CUHK participants included Ms. Wing Wong, Director of China Engagement; Ms. Joyce Mak, Assistant Manager of Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services; and Mr. Leung Kwok Yiu, Consultant of Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services. Representatives of ZGC Youth Innovation Centre included Mr. Zhang Kai, Deputy General Manager; Mr. Meng Xian Qi, Director of Regional and Results Transformation Department; Mr. Huang Yan, Director of Hong Kong Liaison Office; and Ms. Zhuo Jia-Hua, Assistant Director of Hong Kong Liaison Office.
Both sides had in-depth exchanges on collaboration intentions and modes, covering the cooperation in establishing CUHK Innoport in Beijing, and the opportunity of knowledge transfer for CUHK achievements. The meetings enhanced the understanding of CUHK members to learn more about the updates of Beijing in promoting scientific research, and joint projects among universities, institutions, and enterprises with Hong Kong.
