The 9th Summer Institute for Mainland Higher Education Executives

The 9th Summer Institute for Mainland Higher Education Executives was held at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) from 2 to 8 June, with the participation of 93 executives from 41 mainland universities. The programme comprised a series of lectures, through which participants obtained a thorough understanding of CUHK’s unique college system, as well as the University’s various areas of work including academic exchange, strategic development, collaborative programmes, sustainable development, registry, financial and human resource management, and campus security. Cultural exchange activities and visits were arranged for participants to learn more about Hong Kong and Hong Kong tertiary institutions.
Intending to enhance communication between university executives from mainland China and Hong Kong, CUHK first organized this programme in 2013. The Institute serves to establish friendships and strengthen the interaction between executives of CUHK and its partner universities, enabling participants to share work experiences in tertiary settings, and paving the way for the exploration of further collaboration opportunities.
